Locating the Serial for Legit Check

Placement varies significantly by manufacturer and era to deter counterfeiting.

Modern models (2005+): engraved on the inner rehaut at 6 o'clock. Older models: engraved between the lugs at 6 o'clock (requires bracelet removal).

Typically laser-engraved in tiny digits on the back of one of the lugs (usually 7 o'clock) or edge of the case back.

Often engraved directly on the movement or inside the case back (requiring a watchmaker to safely open).

Engraved on the outside of the case back. Look for a letter followed by a sequential number string.
